Read this article today about how a women can keep a man and not scare him off.
It stated that if women are to keep a man interested, she should not appear insane (duh!), should not talk too much (who measures this?), should not cling to him (no one wants a Siamese twin, neither do I) and/or should not nag (we hate this too).
I get all of the above but what about the “not talking too much”, who measures the talking. Some men enjoy talking (communication) and they prefer women who respond and can hold their own in conversations. If a person is bothered by too much talking, then its time to find someone else with similar communication styles and energy. Some men are just as guilty of talking too much as are some women. “Talk” and how much of it one does, depends on one’s level of communication skills. Some ‘talkers’ include valuable content and know how to engage conversation, which keeps people interested (men) but then there are those who just like to hear their voices squeak, those are the annoying ones. the ones who can’t keep men or women even. hmm difficult balance or maybe I should just shut up.
